Looks For Life: Be Fly

I love to people watch, so while traveling for work I took the opportunity to just observe them. People wear anything to the airport in an effort to be comfortable unless they are on business, then they are in suits or business casual attire. Personally, I have to be cute at the airport you never know who you will meet. So what do you wear while traveling? I am glad you asked. I took pictures of a few individuals that got it right.

Be Edgy: You can be edgy and comfy as Martina proves here wearing black over-the-knee riding boots with jean skinnies, rolled up boyfriend blazer and colorful scarf.

Be Classic: Take a classic approach with flats, skinnies and throwing a

snuggle-worthy sweater over a T-shirt like Laverne. I love how she took something so casual and added the leopard flat for a touch of luxury.

Be Unique: Lynette paired beautifully tooled leather knee high boots with jeans and sweater in a neutral color. She adds pops of color with the shirt under her sweater and accessories. Her hobo and jewel tone scarf and hobo complete her travel worthy look.

After this you can see that you can be chic and comfortable. Layer your tops or bring a light jacket because flights can be cold. Never wear sky high heels, yes they are cute but walking (sometimes running) across an airport is not safe in them. As soon as you leave the airport you can put them back on, no one will know! Take sunglasses, at some point the sun will be out while you are trying to take a nap on the plane, plus they look so stylish! I never leave home without a tote that can hold all your necessities like your iPad2, cosmetic case, passport, boarding pass and bottle of water. Basic black fabric or leather tote is the best in my opinion and can be used when you are not traveling. That is all for now safe travels!

Ciao!

Toya Styles (70.00 points earned)
Toya Lane has always had an eye for fashion starting from a very young age of ten when she went to Jo-Anne fabrics and picked out a floral jersey knit and made a skirt out of it to wear to school. She then took clothing construction all through high school and finished out school being named “Best Dressed” by her senior class. She designed her prom gown and styled two of her friends prom wear. Deciding to go into the military and being formally trained as a Computer Graphics Artist. She has maintained a love of all creative industries. Moving to Misawa Japan she witnessed a lack of clothing for the average sized women on the Air Base. So, she started to measure and order clothing for the woman on base for Black-Tie and semi-formal events. She quickly found her true love of dressing the everyday woman.

After returning to the States she completed her Bachelor’s in Business Management Marketing with a minor in Financial Management. She set a plan in motion but being a military spouse she moved two more times before starting her own Marketing and Fashion Styling company named ChicDivineStyle.
